Deepika Padukone-Kareena Kapoor

Blame it on Saif Ali Khan to create a rift between Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor. Had he not gone about telling everyone, whoever cared to listen to him, that how much he missed Bebo in the film, the two beauties would have been at least cordial with each other. The constant bickering irked Deeps so much that she took to making comments on Kareena’s act in Kambakkht Ishq. Bebo too added fuel to fire by terming KI to be a better film than Love Aaj Kal. They still refuse to get along well.
Aishwarya Rai-Sonam Kapoor

The international brand L’Oreal might not have imagined in their wildest dreams what the Indian press was about to witness when they signed Sonam Kapoor as their fresh face. Immediately rumors of the brand dumping elderly Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for newbie Sonam started to make rounds. Though later it was learnd that Ash is still the brand ambassador of the brand, the rumours went out of hand with Sonam calling Ash Aunty and her father addressing Ash as Chaiwali at an awards do. And the latest from the grapevine is that the two actresses still can’t endure each other.
Priyanka Chopra-Kareena Kapoor

Friendship comes full circle for Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. They were thick friends once with both going for shopping sprees often. But when Piggy Chops got nasty with Kareena’s character in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Bebo saw red and damned PC forever. They fought vehemently spitting venom against each other. But recently at an award function, both were seen bonding, chatting and having hearty laughs! Not to say everyone’s pleasantly surprised!
Priyanka Chopra-Kangna Ranaut

When Fashion was in the making, reports of the two leading ladies Kangna Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra gelling like house on fire hit the tabloids. While many were happy to know it thinking that for a change two actresses were getting along well, there were many who were prophesying its doom. And of course, latter won! The two beauties joined the fighting fray, blaming each other for stealing the thunder after the film’s release. As of now, they are as distant as two rails on a railway track.
Kareena Kapoor-Ameesha Patel

Though not much is said and written about this catfight, it’s a known affair for every one in the industry. Ever since Kareena dropped out of Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai and Ameesha Patel roped in, the two actresses have shared cold vibes. They are yet to forgive and forget for a fight, which apparently was instigated by the producer of the film Rakesh Roshan. He didn’t like Hrithik and Bebo’s closeness towards each other off camera and so dumped Kareena.
Sushmita Sen-Aishwarya Rai

They were great friends as both were from the same industry, namely modeling. They even contested at the Miss India competition where Sushmita stole the crown from under Ash’s nose. Adding fuel to the fire, Sush went on to win the Miss Universe title too which was a big blow to Ash’s vanity. Since then, the two beauty queens have never seen eye-to-eye. Even though Ash’s filmy career rocketed with more speed then Sush, the rivalry persists between the two.
Rani Mukherji-Preity Zinta

Though there is no apparent reason for their spat, Rani Mukherji and Priety Zinta share cold vibes every time they bump into each other. Initially, the girls were thick friends and had worked in many films together. But due to some reason, which is still a mystery, the two decided not to cross each other’s path. Though both neither accept their friendship nor their fight, they do agree that they are not sworn in friends or enemies either.
Rani Mukherji-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya and Rani Mukherji were not just pals but best friends. While Ash used to rave about Rani’s histrionics, Rani used to be all praises about Ash’s beauty and wit. But their closeness went kaput, thanks to Salman Khan. In those days, Ash and Sallu were often seen fighting. Bugged by all this, Salman barged into the sets of SRK-Ash starrer Chalte Chalte abusing Ash and accusing Shah Rukh. SRK immediately dumped Ash and roped in Rani. Since then the best friends were heard making snide remarks at each other at every occasion.
Jaya Bachchan-Rekha

This is one fight, which snowballed in front of everyone. What many don’t know is that Rekha and Jaya were great friends and even had flats in the same building. The diva was even instrumental in getting Amitabh Bachchan hooked to Jaya. But all hell broke loose when Jaya reportedly discovered about her husband’s illicit affair with Rekha. Though every thing is hunky-dory between AB and her, she doesn’t seem to be able to forgive and forget Rekha for backstabbing her.

Deepika Padukone is down with malaria. The actress who was shooting in London for Housefull hadn't been keeping well for the past few days. The Om Shanti Om girl was initially though to be under a viral attack but tests have now confirmed malaria. On Wednesday Deepika was in no condition to face the camera and the shooting had to be called off.

A day earlier Deepika had enough courage to shoot a sequence with Akshay Kumar despite of having high fever. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sajid Khan have temporarily called off the shoot till Deepika completely recovers. The actress has been suffering ever since she had landed in London and had been under the regular does of painkillers and other drugs.

The fever however showed no signs of subsiding and then she was taken to a doctor who confirmed malaria after conducting tests. Beau Ranbir Kapoor is extremely worried and is regularly keeping in touch with her. Deepika was scheduled to complete her shooting of Housefull and return to the country and promote her upcoming movie Love Aaj Kal.

Deepika gossips on the walkie talkie

The junior crew members of the Love Aaj Kal team had a pleasant experience shooting with the leading lady Deepika Padukone. One of the crew members says that they grew fond of Deepika while shooting with her and on the other hand she also became friendly with them. They would often be a part of some prank and gossip on the walkie-talkie.

A unit source revealed, "Deepika would borrow the walkie from one of the assistant directors and pass comments, amusing and communicating to a select few who would know and leave the rest baffled as to who the mysterious voice was. The crew members in the beginning were unaware that it was Deepika and gossiped with her openly. Someone suddenly realized that she was playing a prank with them and soon the whole unit realized that Deepika was the mysterious person. But Deepika sincerely enjoyed the banter and took all the gossip very sportingly."

Love Aaj Kal is set for a release on July 31st worldwide.

Bollywood has come of ages. Today, it looks like a film without a kiss sequence is incomplete. The much-hyped film Love Aaj Kal too has ample kissing scenes. Now, sources close to the film has let the cat out of the bag. Saif Ali Khan is said to have kissed Deepika Padukone 5 times in the film.

Love Aaj Kal has passed the first test with the censor board issuing it an U/A certificate without any cut. Surprisingly, the hot kisses involving Saif and Deepika didn't invite the wrath of the moral police.

Watch out for this film directed by Imtiaz Ali. It is all set for release on 31st July.

Jayant C Paranje does it again!
The Tollywood director who has introduced Bollywood beauties Aishwarya Rai (Ravoyi Chandamama), Bipasha Basu and Lisa Ray (Takkari Donga), Preity Zinta (Premante Idera) and Anjala Jhaveri (Preminchu Kundam Raa), informs us that Deepika Padukone has just completed her shoot for an item number choreographed by Bollywood's Ahmed Khan, for his Telugu film Love 4 Ever.

What more, Jayant was so impressed by Deepika’s professional approach (she was never late on the
sets and there were no starry tantrums) that he immediately asked her if she would do a Hindi film for him. Jayant tells us that “Deepika agreed to do the film” and he is planning to rope in Ranbir Kapoor too!

Saif's changed after Kareena: Deepika

In just six months Deepika Padukone has signed two double roles in Om Shanti Om and Chandni Chowk To China and now she gets to do what very few emale actors in our country do.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika does full-fledged comedy in Sajid Khan's Houseful.

"It's not just a few comic scenes here and there. It's a hardcore comic role. And I wonder how I'll manage it. Main koshish karungi. Sajid has a great sense of humour and I'd go by his vision. Sajid just told me to follow him. If my director has so much confidence in me I can't let him down."

Problem is, Deepika has a very sober image. "But that doesn't mean I don't have a sense of fun. I plan to have a ball doing Houseful. I'm a reserved person in real life. But that doesn't mean I can't be funny for the camera."

So after working with sister Farah it's bro Sajid. "I'm very fond of both of them. At a time when the entertainment industry wasn't too confident of me Farah trusted me completely. She didn't even audition me. Farah was the one who spotted in me a talent and actually cast me opposite Shah Rukh."

She has worked with all the older actors Shah Rukh, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan before coming to co-stars her own age group.

"Ranbir and I work like pals. But I wouldn't say I had more fun working with him. You are not on the sets to have fun. But yes, definitely the comfort level with him was much higher even when we weren't seeing each other. My other co-stars were a lot more mature and I was a lot more reserved with them. But I've to tell you, Shah Rukh completely pampered me. Saif is reserved. I've heard he wasn't like this earlier. I believe he has calmed down a lot because of Kareena, or whatever. Saif and I just did our work on Imtiaz Ali's sets and went our separate ways. That's the way I like it. I'm a very reserved person. I'm not here to make friends. But yes, Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba are now friends."

And another film with Ranbir after Bachna Ae Haseenon? "We get offers every day to act together. But we're waiting for the right opportunity. The script has to be special. But we're very clear about not mixing business with our relationship."

Deepika regrets making their relationship so public. "When we got into a relationship we decided to be open about it. Otherwise there would be reports about us being spotted holding hands, kissing, hugging , etc. Since we were so clear about our relationship we had nothing to hide. I thought people would respect that. But it didn't work out that way."

Deepika was specially upset about the paparazzi pictures of her and Ranbir. "We both have families and very repectable families. People who take pictures of us secretly must have families and boyfriends/girlfriends. We've now decided not to talk about our friendship. At the end of the day no one is going to see our films because we're a pair. "

Tell her there was no upward movement in Ranbir's graph as an actor from Saawariya to Bachna.... and the protective beloved protests, "His graph was already so high in Saawariya , where could he go? Bachna Ae Haseenon gave him a chance to do something totally different. I too want to get away from the glam sham. Of course, I want to wear good clothes and sing good songs. But I'd be uncomfortable doing just songs and dances. Beyond Sajid Khan's film I haven't signed any film. Chandni Chowk To Chandni is an out-and-out entertainer. Imtiaz Ali's films is very real very relevant to today."
