I’m nowhere near Aishwarya, Kareena as a performer: Katrina

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has come out praising ‘supposed’ top rivals Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor. While Katrina is still being appreciated for her performance in recent hit ‘New York’, the actress has no qualms in praising her contenders.

Reacting to a statement published in a popular news daily, Katrina admitted and talked about the talent of top notch actresses like Ash, Bebo, Piggy Chops among others. Kat said, “I disagree with the constant statement that actresses in Bollywood are interchangeable.’’

According to her, each actress is unique in her own way, and she admits she would never be able to do what Kareena could do.

Kat says, “Kareena is a fantastic actress. I’m still nowhere near her as a performer.’’

Katrina also made it a point to mention that Priyanka Chopra, Asin, Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had their own individual strengths. She said, “I hate this media refrain that heroines in Bollywood are all the same. Priyanka, Asin and Vidya are my contemporaries. Can you imagine ‘Parineeta’ without Vidya? ‘Jab We Met’ without Kareena? Or, for that matter, ‘Fashion’ without Priyanka? They are all first grade in these films.’’

Nevertheless, on winning accolades for ‘New York, Katrina said, “I’m going to be expected to raise the bar with each further release and the thought is scary.”

Shahid dumping Priyanka for Anushka?

It may be recalled that Shahid has been linked with many girls ever since she broke up with his long-time girlfriend Kareena Kapoor. He was rumoured to have affair with Amrita Rao, Sania Mirza and Vidya Balan besides Priyanka Chopra.
